This Center, Texas kitchen transformation does not disappoint.
Sick of work by inexperienced “contractors” this amazing couple wanted a kitchen remodel and wanted it done right. Well, we didn’t trademark our tag line, Building It Right The First Time, for nothing.

The Texas Country Farmhouse Kitchen Remodel Wish List
Traveling to beautiful Texas we learned the homeowner’s wish list:

✔️Rustic, country kitchen vibes
✔️Durable, yet cool looking flooring

✔️Nod to fond memories of grandma’s red brick home
✔️Keep the custom vent hood intact

What Did We Do?
There was a lot of talk about that gorgeous vent hood. We even discussed cutting it in half and installing it against a wall but that just put knots in all our stomachs. It’s just too darn gorgeous to cut up.
We removed the peninsula that was blocking the flow between the kitchen and living room. We then relocated the refrigerator and added a buffet and beverage area.
We added a pantry cabinet and built a HUGE knotty alder island to seat all family members. We added matching wood open shelving decorated with beautiful black lamps that look ahhhhmazing on while the can lights are off. Total mood.
White cabinets were built and installed along with fun glass decorative upper cabinets to add to our country vibe. Can we just take a moment to admire the brick herringbone backsplash?? It’s absolutely gorgeous and even better in real life.
And because utility rooms need love too, we removed the water heater and installed a tank-less. We designed fantastic mudroom cabinets with plenty of storage cubbies and cabinets for housekeeping goodies.
Knotty alder ship-lap was added to the back as well as on the bench. And again…that herringbone floor makes our eyes water.
