These SOBO kitchen remodel before and after pictures are the CRAZIEST transformation yet!
What was on the remodeling wish list?

- A design that feels like we live near the ocean

What Did We Do?
To expand the kitchen, we moved the right wall 3 feet so a spacious island could be in the center of the kitchen action.
The ceiling was vaulted making the space feel even bigger, and we added plenty of cabinets for plenty of storage.
At first, a 36″ range was selected, but we decided to bring up the cooking game a notch with a 48″ GE Appliances Café range. What a great choice.
We wanted an elegant vent hood that wouldn’t be too much of a distraction from the gorgeous marble backsplash, so we went with a simple stucco and wood design.
The island was specifically designed to have open shelves on both ends for recipe books, decor and plants.
The island, vent hood wood, and open shelves were all built with white oak. We wanted them all to match.
Because there was going to be so much white upper cabinets on the refrigerator wall, we added a vintage look glass. That broke up all the white and brings in even more light into the kitchen. We added the same glass to the coffee bar uppers and open shelves.
This kitchen now has tons of storage, tons of counter space and a whole lot of beachy character.
