The Journey to a Rustic Master Bathroom
Our client’s rustic master bathroom remodel and closet addition is finished and ready for the handoff.
Here’s what was on our client’s wish list:
- Large shower
- Makeup area
- Rustic style with weathered wood and stone
- Private commode area
- His and her new closets
What an amazing journey this was. We used the same wood tile we installed in her kitchen remodel and because we couldn’t find an existing stain we liked for the cabinets, we had our friends at Caddo Paint color match a lighter area of the floor tile and create a special color just for this space which the clients loved.
The shower is perfect for the homeowners and doubles as a shower for their three labs when it’s their bath time.
Custom Rustic Trim
Our very own GC Mr. Willard made the sink mirror trim and the shower beams/column himself. We couldn’t find mirrors that were old and weathered enough, so he jumped right in to help.
We added a counter cabinet for more storage and to house their small television so they can keep up with the world while getting ready in the morning.
The makeup area lower cabinets are specific sizes requested by our client and have built in plugs for hair tools.
His area has a built in plug in the linen cabinet for his shaving tools so the counters are clutter free.
We chose sliced river rocks for the shower floor and accent band that look exactly like the rocks they would collect when vacationing. Super cool.
The before and after pictures are night and day.
Before the Journey:
Here you can see what we started this project with.
We presented the client with renderings to show how the finished product would look.
At Journey’s End
And in the end, this is the rustic master bathroom the clients are now enjoying!
We are so honored to work with this wonderful couple again and look forward to future projects in the coming months.
